Hello LUFSAE members,
I'm glad to be on the team again this year, now as acting Chassis Project Manager. My automotive experience began at about 14 years old where I helped my Dad rebuild a straight 6 Volvo engine for the houseboat. From there I decided cars were my thing and purchased a basket case 1987 Firebird Formula (yes the Knightrider car). I blew up the 5.0 HO engine 2 weeks after I bought it, and proceeded to rebuild a 400 small block Chevy and do the swap from injection to carb. I have partaken in various other automotive projects such as swapping a 3.8 supercharged GTP motor into a Fiero and boring projects on my Cavalier (heater core, driveshafts, wheelbearings, head gasket, wal mart towel covering the passenger door, you really have to see the redneck Engineering in person to appreciate it). I graduated from Durham College as a Mechanical Technologist and transitioned into Mech Eng at Lakehead in 2007. While attending college I took two welding courses covering the basics of MIG, TIG and gas welding. I have experience welding the frame from last years car, as well as some stainless work on the old man's boat.
This is my last year at Lakehead and I want to make an impact at this years race with light efficient designs and solid craftsmanship.
Looking forward to working with all of you,
Trevor Farrow Project Manager: Chassis LUFSAE 2009-2010
