most forums, including this one, make all submitted posts publicly available with no membership needed. we will be in a better position if we allow only team members to read the forum posts. since we will be in a competition, it will be to our advantage to keep any random person on the internet from seeing our team's information, especially regarding technologies we are using, sponsorship info, possibly copyright documents, etc. so we should continue to allow sign ups but allow viewing access to approved members only.

I discussed this last year with Parmvir, but it was decided that they were more like friendly competition and that other teams also give out information freely. Also we wanted to give sponsors easy access to any progress that we made .

If management or the project manager changes their stand on this issue I have no problem restricting access to the forum. Weather that be members only or allowing casual surfer to only view the media section. For now I'll leave it as it is.
